ABOUT TELEMPATHY

Telempathy is the brainchild of Dr Matt McDornan and Dr Greg Pearson, two Australian psychiatrists that wanted to bring expert mental health care to people in remote areas. They needed a solution that offered all the services of a brick and mortar hospital in a digital environment. We came together and worked out a solution that would allow for a virtual nurse, group therapy tele-consults as well as iCBT programs.

We split the platform into 3 sections;

Admin – This is where the changes to the front-end (website) are made as well as verification of new doctors signing up. Temporarily, this is also where the patients programs are assigned. However, this function will beloved to the doctor profile eventually.

Doctors – From here doctors or their assistants can set their availability, monitor upcoming appointments, check their patients program progress and have tele-consults or group consults with their patients.

Patients – In the patient portal, patients choose their doctor, book available appointments, access their programs and access their consultations.

We successfully delivered a service that can be accessed from anywhere in the world on a computer or mobile device, so patients can receive treatment when they are most vulnerable. The project like most of our projects keeps evolving with new ideas added and is something we are incredibly proud to present.

We were also tasked with the branding for the Telempathy project. This meant designing the UI/UX kit, logo, marketing material and YouTube channel intro. We used typically medical colours of light blue, grey and white. These colours combined have a clean feel and most importantly, look great. The entire project has used these colours throughout for continuity, as well as brand familiarity.

Along with the branding, we were also asked to produce the videos for both the website and the portal. The Innovation Agency was in charge of the direction and creative for the videos, however we utilised the skills of Geoff McCloud at Sputnik Films for all the filming and post-production. The combination meant we got creative, HD footage that we can utilise in multiple ways, through YouTube and throughout the Telempathy platform.
